It was a day of celebration, reflection, and inspiration as Holyway Schools held its annual Valedictory Service and Prize Giving Day on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the school’s main auditorium. The event was attended by distinguished guests, proud parents & guardians, dedicated staff, and jubilant students.
The ceremony marked the successful completion of the academic journey for the graduating class of 2025. Graduates were honoured with valedictory awards, heartfelt speeches, and a motivating charge to excel beyond the school gates.
In his welcome address, the Chairman, Pastor Akinola Fapohunda, praised the students for their resilience and dedication, especially amidst recent global challenges. “Today stands as a testament to the strength of character, discipline, and commitment instilled in our students throughout their time at Holyway,” he remarked.
A major highlight was the valedictory speech delivered by the best graduating student, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to teachers, parents, and peers for their unwavering support. “We leave with not just certificates, but with memories, friendships, and values that will guide us for a lifetime,” he said.
Awards were presented in various categories, including academic excellence, leadership, sports, and creativity. Pastor Akinola Fapohunda, also the guest speaker and an alumnus of the school, delivered an inspiring keynote address emphasizing the importance of education and perseverance.
The event concluded with captivating musical performances, group photographs, and a vote of thanks delivered by the Head Boy, Tijani Sodiq.
