- Introducing New Subjects: Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, and Moral Education at Holyway Schools
As part of our continuous commitment to delivering a well-rounded education, Holyway Schools is proud to announce the introduction of three new non-examinable but highly impactful subjects into our academic program: Financial Literacy for Teens, Entrepreneurship, and Moral Education. These subjects have been thoughtfully designed to equip our students with essential life skills that go beyond the traditional classroom curriculum.
At Holyway Schools, we recognize that education is not solely about preparing students to pass examinations, it is about preparing them to succeed in life. In today’s dynamic world, academic excellence must be complemented with financial awareness, innovative thinking, and strong ethical values. With this in mind, we have integrated these new subjects into our school timetable to support the holistic development of every learner.
Financial Literacy for Teens is aimed at helping students understand the basics of money management, savings, budgeting, and smart financial decision-making. By introducing financial principles early, we are empowering our students to develop responsible money habits, avoid common financial pitfalls, and make informed choices as they grow into adulthood.
Entrepreneurship, on the other hand, nurtures creativity, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. In these classes, students will explore the fundamentals of business, innovation, and value creation. Through interactive sessions and real-life examples, they will learn how to identify opportunities, create simple business plans, and understand the importance of persistence and resilience in the world of enterprise.
Moral Education focuses on building character, integrity, and respect for others. In a society where values are increasingly challenged, we believe it is vital to provide structured lessons on empathy, honesty, responsibility, and civic duty. These sessions create space for open conversations and reflection, helping students develop sound judgment and a strong moral compass.
Although these subjects are non-examinable, they are no less important. They serve as foundational tools for life success and personal growth. The knowledge and habits formed through these classes will shape our students’ behaviour, choices, and outlook for years to come.
At Holyway Schools, we are intentional about raising future-ready leaders who are not only academically sound but also emotionally intelligent, ethically grounded, and economically smart. The introduction of these subjects reflects our belief in education that builds both the mind and the character.
We are excited about this new phase in our curriculum development and look forward to seeing the positive impact of these subjects in the lives of our learners. Together with parents and guardians, we remain committed to nurturing a generation of responsible leaders and empowered individuals.
